Alongside seeking support from trusted colleagues, Significa also helps you get professional support via Pulso. There may well be a variety of reasons you need to reach out to professional services, for which Pulso can help in a variety of ways. Let’s get into them.

Mental health professionals.

Even though we are big advocates for mental health, and we take it seriously, we are not professionals. Sometimes, getting professional help is what you may require.

The demand for mental health support via public health services is very high, and it takes too long to get assigned to a doctor. Pulso allows you to gain speedy access to therapy (one-off or a course upon assessment).

Our plan includes six counselling sessions with a professional. If these six sessions fall short of your needs, please let us know and we will get you fixed with further sessions. We do not want you to be blocked from getting the support you need because of this plan’s limitations.

Fiscal health.

Your fiscal health is a big contributor to your mental health. Money matters.

My word, though, is that navigating the Finanças portal (or, God forbid, if you have to visit Finanças in person) can be a real headache.

Legal support.

Maybe you're buying or renting a house, maybe you've got some tricky inheritance issues to sort out, maybe you've received a fine for something truly outrageous, or unfortunately, maybe you are going through a divorce.

Difficult situations can feel impossible to navigate and work out what is really right from wrong. Pulso can help you gain the legal advice and support you require to ensure you know exactly what anything means before you sign it.

There are also areas of life where it can be incredibly confusing as to where to start. Maybe you have child education issues, such as getting your child into a nursery, or you have a child with special needs, or you need support with caring for a relative. Pulso's experts can help you seek and apply for the support you may require for that situation.

How it works.

If you need to reach out to Pulso, it's pretty straightforward. You can either call them or email them stating your requirement and one of their team will get back to you (usually within 24 hours if done by email).

It is likely, depending on the type of consultation you require, that you will be asked some questions at this point, such as language preference, whether you want your consultation to be in person or online, or some finer details about your request so they can best match you with a professional.

Once that's arranged, your first meeting with the professional will be scheduled, encompassing all the details you'll need. It's really that easy.

Oh, and as you are a Significa employee, Pulso also covers your direct family members, so they can reach out and get any support they may need, too.

Needless to say, your Pulso sessions are 100% confidential. Significa only gets reporting on the number of employees using the services but is never informed about who is accessing the services or which ones they use.

Pulso's support is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

As a Significa employee, you are entitled to up to six face-to-face, telephone or online appointments per year, per employee or household member, for each support area. As we said above, if you feel you need more, please let us know, and we can make that happen for you.
